Dr. Gindi was born and raised on the east side of Cleveland and attended Orange High School. He then went on to complete his undergraduate studies in biology at John Carroll University before attending dental school at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. He then completed a two-year post-graduate residency program in pediatric dentistry at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital. He conducted a research study in manifestations of child abuse in the head and neck. It was also in this residency program where he was trained extensively in the art and science that is pediatric dentistry, allowing him to modify his dental training and adapt it to the special needs of infants, children, adolescents and those with special health care needs. He is currently an assistant clinical professor in the pediatric dentistry program at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine and is a member of the following organizations:

He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. "A Diplomate is a pediatric dentist whose credentials have been verified and who has successfully completed voluntary examinations and who demonstrates unique knowledge and skill at a standard not possessed by other dentists." Dr Gindi is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr Gindi is currently on the medical staff of Akron Children’s Hospital, Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, and Southpointe Hospital. Outside of the office, Dr. Gindi is a member of St. Mark’s church in Seven Hills, Ohio, and he enjoys golf, skiing, traveling and running.
